Language Points
1. Many resolutions have to do with self-improvement．
have to do with…意為“關于；和……有關系”，
(have 后可以加much、something等)
同義短語為“be to do with…”；反義短語為“have nothing to do
with…”，意為“與……無關”。
2. We make promises to other people.
promise作名詞時為可數名詞，意為“承諾，諾言”。
常用的詞組有：
give/make a promise 許下諾言
keep a promise 信守諾言
break a promise 違背諾言
【拓展】promise 作動詞時，用法如下：
(1) promise sb sth.＝promise sth. to sb. 向某人承諾某事
(2)promise to do sth. He promised to help us.
(3)promise＋that從句
He promised me that he would give me this book.
3. Although there are differences, most resolutions have one thing in common.
have…in common 意為“和……有共同之處”。
中間常加one thing、a lot、something、nothing等詞表示
“有一個、很多、一些共同之處或沒有共同之處”。
4. There are different kinds of resolutions.
different kinds of 意為“各種各樣的”，其中的kind為可數名詞，意為“種類”。
其他常用搭配為：
a kind of 意為“一種”
all kinds of 意為“各種各樣的”
kind of 意為“有點”，相當于 a little。
e.g. Apple is a kind of fruit.
There are all kinds of vegetables in the supermarket.
I am kind of hungry.
