1.⑴ except (除了)和but(除了)的區別：except常用于肯定句中，but常用于否定句中。

除了詹妮都來了。
There is nothing but a card.
除了卡片什么也沒有。
besides也是介詞，意思是“除……之外（尚有……）”,包括besides之后的內容。
He also knows Japanese besides English.
除了懂英語，他也懂日語。（兩門外語他都懂）
Two other boys are on duty today besides you .
包括你在內還有兩名男孩今天值日。（共三人）
⑵ make mistakes 表示“犯錯誤”，強調錯誤不止一個， 如強調只有一個錯誤，可以表達為 make a mistake.
No one likes to make mistakes.
沒有人喜歡犯錯誤。
Parents should let their children make mistakes
and let them learn from their own mistakes.
父母們應該允許孩子們犯錯誤并且讓他們從
錯誤中學習。
⑶ stupid表示“愚蠢的”，在英語中，還有很多詞表示類似的意思。如foolish，silly等，區別如下：
stupid指“智力差的，反應遲鈍的”

瑪麗犯了一個愚蠢的錯誤。
He is very stupid in learning math.
他學數學很笨。
foolish指“無頭腦的，缺乏常識的，缺乏判斷能力的”
It was a foolish thing to fight with his neighbour.
和他的鄰居打架是一件蠢事。
He is foolish to throw away such a chance.
他真蠢，丟掉了這么一個機會。
It is foolish of you to say so (You are foolish to say so).你說這話真蠢。
