weigh的用法
①作及物動詞，表示“稱……的重量”。
eg：Cao Cong thought of a way to weigh the elephant.曹沖想出了一個稱大象的辦法。
②作不及物動詞，表示“量”，后接數字。
eg：She weighs 50 kilos.她的體重是50千克。
【拓展】weight名詞，意為“體重；重量”。
倍數表達法
❶用形容詞表示甲是乙的幾倍時，有以下三個句型：
①倍數＋形容詞/副詞比較級＋than
eg：This hall is four times bigger than my classroom.這個大廳比我們的教室大四倍。
②倍數＋as＋形容詞/副詞＋as
eg：Asia is four times as large as Europe.亞洲的面積是歐洲的四倍。
③倍數＋the size (height，length...)of
eg：The hill is four times the height of that small one.這座山的高度是那座小山的四倍。
❷用名詞表示“量”的倍數時，有以下兩個句型：
①倍數＋more＋名詞＋than
eg：There are four times more books in our library than in yours.我們圖書館的藏書(數量)是你們圖書館的四倍。
②倍數＋as many/much＋名詞＋其他＋as
eg：This is three times as much water in this cup as in that one.這個杯子里的水(量)是那個杯子里的三倍。
