Language points

rapid意為“快速的；飛快的”，表達“發生或做得極快，用時短暫”，與fast, quick同為近義詞，但更加正式。
Eg. The rapid spread of the virus has threatened the public.

2. I wonder how much more computers will be able to do in the future.
我想知道未來的電腦還能做多少事情。
wonder 意為想要知道，后面常接由what, how, who或if / whether （是否）引導的賓語從句。
Eg. I wonder how they’re getting on.
我想知道他們現在過得怎樣。
I just wonder if they’ve arrived safely.
我就想知道他們是否安全抵達了。
