2) population n．人口
它是集合名詞，是人口的總稱，沒有復數形式。使用時要注意以下四點：
①表示 “某地有多少人口”，常使用固定結構：
Sp. has a population of…＝The population of sp. is…
例：The population of Canada is 35 million.
＝ Canada has a population of 35 million.
加拿大有三千五百萬人口。
② “人口的多/少” 用形容詞large/big或者small來表示，不能用many/much或few/little。
例: China has a large/big population.
中國人口眾多。
③population在句中作主語的時候，謂語動詞使用單數形式。

肯定答語：Yes, 主格代詞 + have / has.
否定答語：No, 主格代詞 + haven’t / hasn’t.
現在完成時——用法
1. 表示動作到現在為止已經完成或剛剛完成。
例：He has turned the light off .他已把燈關了。
2. 動作發生在過去，強調對現在的結果、影響等。
例：He has been away from the city.
他已離開這個城市。(結果：他不在這個城市。)
